About the project

The project's central concern is to preserve the stadium, which holds an important place in the urban memory of an area slated for complete demolition by the municipality, and its market culture, while sensitively redesigning this district near an archaeological site. An examination of the stadium's location revealed traffic problems caused by its proximity to the surrounding roads. The stadium was therefore designed for the southern part of the site, allowing supporters to circulate across a larger area. The market was also redesigned in the north. A grid system was used to prevent the disorder experienced in the past. The archaeological area southeast of the site and Hisar Hill contain remains from Bolu's history dating back to 3000 BC. The design takes into account the skyline to the southeast of the stadium and the view of historic Hisar Hill.
