As part of strengthening the strategic plan for Bahrain's Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and implementing initiatives related to its aims and objectives, the programme seeks to keep pace with global developments concerning young people. These were subsequently translated into a series of youth programmes to enable young people to enrich the Kingdom's sustainable development and competitiveness. Later, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the Nasser Bin Hamad Youth Creativity Award was launched in 2011 as an initiative of the General Organization for Youth and Sports.
The NBH Award aims to discover the creativity of young people from across the kingdom in a range of fields. It represents Bahrain’s strong commitment and efforts to give back to young people and help them develop their creativity and skills in the Award’s six fields. The third edition of the NBH Award was launched as an international award under the theme ‘Live Your Dream’, giving young people from around the world the opportunity to participate and express their innovation and creativity without limits.
